ahhhhh.. I used to live on the side of a mountain in a bear preserve and had to keep our garbage in a shed under lock and key and run outside every Monday morning when the garbage truck would 'toot'.
Also bear tracks in the snow all around the house and up and down the front steps.. surprised they didnt ring the bell. :>)
LOL - i'm just imagining the door bell ringing and Mrs Bear, surrounded by three sad and hungry little faces, asking 'could we have a just a small portion more of garbage, please?'
more likely, the encounter would be much less genteel though you never know, with this shy and sweet mother bear.
