As I was looking over some of the work of Miami-based photographer and ex - New York model, Glen Mitchell (Website) ...

Now, being the unrepentant formalist I am, I was drawn to that aspect of his work which dealt with the potential interlocking forms between two male bodies - he's interested, happily, in bringing his sexuality into what he does.

As well as investigating this interlocking idea within the single form ...

... Glen seems to more interestingling and successfully play round with the concept when there are two figures involved.

I'm just crazy about the rigid formalism in the following, particularly the first image, where the man on the right, turning to the other guy, creates a line with his head across his shoulders, and down the thigh of his companion into his crotch ...

Sex seems a reference rather than the object of these photographs.

In some some of these images, the geometry seems forced or contrived but that's probably the point - this is 'art' work and not any kind natural reportage.

In what I think is a nice and appropriate choice, the close-up work brings sex a little more to the front ...

I love the playfulness of the following images ...

... and fun is always a great way to finish off a post!
