An Unexpected New Coffee Brew

You may well wonder what's the connection between the two images below - that of the Asia civet and roasted coffee beans.

The opening image of course may have given you a clue.

Let me give you a couple more ...

Any ideas yet?

Okay, for those still none the wiser, all is revealed in this little Animal Planet video ...

Well well well ... .

Look, I've travelled a fair bit, guys, and see things as best judged and valued within the cultural context in which they occur ... and I'd give the brew a shot.

yeah, it's getting quite a bit of international media attention - for the obvious shock reasons

it was something i'd just never considered as a concept - live and learn, that's nice for me!

  3. downhere in brazil, all the fancy cafés have the 'jacu coffee', identical (in price and flavour) to this one, except from the fact it comes from a bird, not a mammal.

    best wishes,

  4. It is well known that koala bears eat eucalyptus leaves and then excrete mentholated cough drops. These are then gathered by bushmen tribesmen, who incidentally invented celophane, and packaged and shipped world-wide under various trade names.

The semester's only three days old and already I'm going crazy. Ugh.

guess i like living in the wild side a bit - though if the cup is in my hand and there's a 'bottoms up' i might go for the traditional interpretation - well, depending on the top! LOL

great - i'll try it if i can then

i saw a tv program on liking a taste being related to what you expect - they made sardine ice-cream - the subjects goggled it down with 'it's great but i can't quite put my finger on the flavour' - so if you expect a great cup of coffee that's what you'll experience with kopi luwak or bird poo coffee

    take care, nick
