News Flash - Word Verification
Took the word verification policeman off for a nanosecond ... and was inundated with faux comments!
So this verification annoyance thing might have to be a longer term feature - Sorry guys :<
I hope it doesn't discourage serious and not-so-serious commenting!
If it saves you loads of time and effort, it can only be a good thing. You already spend time and effort on the good stuff in the blog and presumably read the comments anyway, why give more to the spammers, who don't deserve it in the first place? Thanks.

if i can figure out a way of blocking spammers other than word verification ... we can go back to easy posting times - see what i can do
